Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate pediatric Occupational Therapist and a Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team . The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings including home health, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves working with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, to develop and implement effective care plans aimed at improving their daily living skills and overall quality of life. The Occupational Therapist will utilize their knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to assess patient needs and provide tailored therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical and mental abilities through observation and standardized tests. Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs and goals. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to enhance their independence. Provide therapy in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and home health environments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and techniques for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy through continuous education. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care preferred. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is a plus. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
