Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Summary:
Award Care at Big Bend is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As an OTA with our organization, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of independence and well-being. Assist occupational therapists in planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for residents with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments Conduct occupational therapy assessments and interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' specific needs and goals Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to ensure seamless transitions and coordinated care Provide education and support to residents, families, and healthcare staff on occupational therapy techniques and strategies Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal resident outcomes and staff developmentRequirements:
Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required Completion of an accredited OTA program Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required Minimum of 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or a related field (new graduates welcome to apply) Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on providing exceptional resident care Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for residents with diverse needs and backgroundsWhy Join Our Team:
