High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's (two year) Degree or higher preferred Previous successful Child Nutrition Program management experience preferred Previous successful school or commercial food service experience Current ServSafe® Certification or successful completion of exam within one (1 year of hire) Knowledge of and experience with basic computer skills and essential software including email, current St Clair County CNP point of sale software and on-line ordering programs Knowledge of Child Nutrition Program guidelines and regulations Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457 Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with large and/or diverse groups. Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities. Proficiency in oral, written, and electronic communications and able to use various technological devices/software. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal Ability to assist in the supervision and development of assigned personnel according to school system Ability to demonstrate leadership, organization, collaboration, and planning skills to accomplish school goals and job Possess and maintain required health certifications including tuberculin skin test results. Demonstrates support for the school system, its purpose, direction, and Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and to prioritize tasks Maintains confidentiality of any Board of Education business, its staff, and its students. Demonstrates and models regular and predictable Demonstrates professionalism in appearance and in attitude at all Demonstrates the ability to use technology for communication, presentations, research, data analysis, budgeting, record keeping, reporting, scheduling, and other job responsibilities as Supervises and instructs kitchen personnel in the safe, proper and efficient use of all kitchen Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues, records and school related information. Maintains orderly, safe and sanitary conditions in compliance with local, state and federal regulations Prepares and supervise a regular production and cleaning schedules for the kitchen, serving and dining Conducts orientation for new employees and Determines and orders appropriate quantities of food and supplies needed for standardized Oversees receiving and verify orders accurately and in a timely Maintains accurate inventory, and food production records and invoices as required by state and federal Reports any problem or on the job injury occurring in the kitchen or cafeteria to the School Confers with principal and CNP Director regarding personnel Works in a constant state of alertness using established workplace safety practices. Assumes responsibility for serving and replenishing menu items, storing and disposal of food, cleaning assignments and preparation of serving lines and merchandisers as Observes tray assembly to ensure that foods are properly portioned to meet requirements and that food is attractively arranged on Posts menus at least one week in advance; adjusts menus to accommodate commodity arrivals and/or vendor shortages as approved by Purchases food and supplies and checks orders and invoices for quality, quantity, accuracy of weight and price upon Oversees the locking of the storeroom and secures the cafeteria and work areas before Maintains a file of standard recipes and instructs CNP personnel in the use of recipes. Outlines specific duties and work schedules for school CNP personnel in accordance with school system policies and Instructs and supervises employees during work hours; assists in the evaluation of CNP personnel as Cooperates with principal, supervisor and school faculty in planning, developing and utilizing the dining room/cafeteria to provide positive learning experiences for students. Develops and maintains a welcoming and positive climate in the Maintains and enforces standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room areas of the Demonstrates initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement in areas of responsibility. Responds to inquiries and requests in a timely and positive Maintains and submits required reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate Properly cares for equipment and material resources of the school Uses effective collaboration skills to work as an effective team Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local Reports absences and takes leave in accordance with Board policies and procedures Displays good personal hygiene and grooming and appropriate dress code in accordance with established Provides a friendly atmosphere and maintain a proper and professional relationship with students, faculty and guests, and co-workers.
