Job Summary:
The Part-Time Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the staff, church, and school community. This role involves managing communications, organizing records, scheduling events, and ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the church and school run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries. Greet visitors and provide assistance as needed. Maintain office supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain files, records, and other documents.
Communication:
Assist in preparing and distributing church and school newsletters, bulletins, and other communication materials. Update and maintain the church and school website and social media platforms. Prepare correspondence and mailings (e.g., thank you letters, event invitations).
Scheduling:
Manage and maintain the church and school calendar, events, and facility usage. Coordinate logistics for church services, school activities, meetings, and events.
Clerical Duties:
Prepare and maintain church and school attendance records. Assist with maintaining records of financial contributions, donations, and accounts. Prepare and distribute weekly bulletins and worship service materials. Support for
Church and School Staff:
Assist the Pastor, Principal, and other staff members with administrative tasks as needed. Help with the preparation and organization of church and school events, such as programs, services, and fundraisers.
Confidentiality:
Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive church, school, and personal information.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in office administration preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of or willingness to learn practices, and the operations of the church and school. A friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
Work Environment and Conditions:
This is a part-time position, [20 hours per week]. Work is generally performed in an office setting at the school. Some flexibility in work schedule may be required, especially during peak church or school events.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform general office tasks. Occasional lifting of materials and setting up for events.
Compensation :
Contingent upon education level and experience
