Job Description

The Office Assistant will be responsible for handling and organizing clerical support tasks. This may include organizing & creating files, processing referrals, data entry, processing payroll, proofreading, filing papers, processing claims, verifying that claims have been paid. Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills. Candidate must possess the ability to create folders for every person hired. Must obtain all new hire documents from each employee hired. Must possess a friendly attitude. Candidate will be responsible for answering multiphone lines, documenting reports from client's case managers and employees. Candidate must possess ability to hire PCA's and process new hire paperwork in healthcare database. Experience using the HHAexchange (required). "Willing to train" QuickBooks experience preferred. Professionalism is a must. Must have experience using a 10 key calculator. Must be able to operate office equipment such as fax machines, shredders, copiers and printers. Must be dependable. Must have experience working with the elderly & disabled. Excellent communication skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel & PowerPoint. Must possess ability to handle management calls and situations regarding client and employee issues. Must have a high school diploma. Two years of office experience required.
