Office Assistant II (Full-Time)
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday:
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM |
Tuesday, Friday:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Office Assistant II to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing exceptional support to both patients and clinical staff. Experience with Epic scheduling , insurance processes, and authorizations is strongly preferred. Position Overview In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from scheduling to check-out. You will manage appointments efficiently, support administrative workflows, and collaborate with multiple departments to deliver high-quality service. Key Responsibilities Schedule, coordinate, and manage patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner Greet and register patients with professionalism, ensuring a welcoming environment Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and authorization information Utilize Epic and other systems to schedule services, verify information, and support billing processes Coordinate diagnostic testing and secure insurance authorizations and referrals Answer and triage calls, providing clear and courteous information or directing inquiries appropriately Prepare patient charts and ensure records are complete and accurate Assist with medical record release requests and inpatient billing processes Support physicians with transcription and documentation review for accuracy Maintain up-to-date provider schedules and confirm upcoming appointments Ensure the waiting area remains clean, organized, and patient-friendly Monitor office supply levels and assist with inventory management What We're Looking For Experience with Epic scheduling preferred Knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, and referrals Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
