Office Custodian

Summary Performs custodial and light building maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms (including shop) and kitchen(s), and restocking paper and soap supplies. 2. Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into dumpsters. 3. Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels. 4. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. 5. Light landscaping (flowerbeds, pressure washing, etc.) 6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements

• Less than high school; 1-year experience required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Ability to understand verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications. Conditions of Employment

• Considerable physical activity. Requires lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Must not be allergic to cleaning supplies and solutions.

This is a day-time position Monday through Thursday and time varies from 9 am-3 pm

Pay:

From $17.00 per hour
