Job Description

JELD-WEN
is currently seeking a Office Manager to join our growing team. Purpose of the
Role:
Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, the Office Manager performs highly responsible administrative duties. This position requires the handling of confidential correspondence of a more sensitive nature. This position may also perform detailed administrative duties to include work of other department heads, and assist and oversee staff and manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, Production Control, Scheduling, Inside Sales, Order Entry and Materials Management positions, processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
 include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage a team and demonstrate excellent communication, inclusiveness and collaboration skills with all levels within the organization. Works with top management in scheduling, bookkeeping, and coordination of meetings, projects, and product and customer oriented issues. Oversees and/or assists in the management of Inside Sales, Production Control, Order Entry, Scheduling and Materials Management positions and processes. Manages the reception areas of their respective facilities to ensure effective customer relations, telephone, and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain the professional image of

at all times. Oversees and/or partakes in the negotiations and purchase of office supplies and furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff/plant in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations Attends regular staff meetings with top management and disseminates non-confidential information to subordinate personnel as needed. Assists in the performance reviews of staff, and assists in corrective actions of staff on an annual, bi-annual, or on an as needed basis. Participates as needed in special department projects as determined by the Plant Manager, or other appropriate supervisory personnel.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred and one (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment; or Associates Degree in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the window and door industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the door and window industry as determined by management. Prior knowledge and experience with SAP. Some basic knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, preferably at JELD-WEN or the door and window industry, including Inside Sales, Production Control, Order Entry, Scheduling, and Materials Management in general. Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing and ability to translate to office culture. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills. Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide appropriate training. The ability to motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other

associated computer software and hardware applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
