Job Description
Please upload an original resume, and cover letter for consideration for this position. This position works as part of a team and independently to provide supervision to the residents and ensure the health and safety of everyone in the shelter. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answer telephone, within 3 rings, and direct messages to appropriate person.
- Greet any visitors to the facility.
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth functioning and efficiency.
- Accept and track material donations, getting them to their proper destination within 24 hours of receiving them.
- Ensure that the front office is always clean, neat and inviting to visitors.
- Assist with onboarding new volunteers, managing their training and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain a list of volunteer opportunities within the community for the residents.
- Develop good, professional working relationships with co-workers and residents, helping to resolve conflicts
- Schedule Social Media posts to help promote Noble House Ministries' work, building a positive marketing plan.
- Refer safety needs or concerns to Executive Director.
- Attend required staff meetings and trainings When requested, research new program opportunities and provide data to Executive Director.
- Report issues to the Case Manager or House Manager as necessary, who will assign consequences as needed.
- Drug screen residents as needed.
- Search residents' belongings, when necessary
- Be willing to transport residents, when necessary
- Statistics and data tracking
- File paperwork as needed
- Assist with writing 'thank you' cards for in-kind donations. Assist with Fundraising events as needed.
- Remain current in CPR, First-aid, and Narcan certifications.
- Meet regularly with Executive Director for supervision.
- Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
- On-Call hours required.
- Some weekend events required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required for position
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work with diverse population.
- Experience working with residents of one year preferred.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work in a sometimes stressful and fast paced environment.
- Ability to lift between ten to thirty pounds frequently.
- Be able to perform light duty chores.
- Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
- Ability to operate telephone.
- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Facebook posting and Wix websites is a plus.
- Ability to understand written information.
