Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic optometry practice as an Office Manager, where you'll lead the administrative and operational functions to ensure a seamless patient experience and efficient clinic workflow. This pivotal role combines medical office management with team supervision, fiscal oversight, and compliance adherence. You will be the backbone of our office, fostering a positive environment while managing day-to-day operations with enthusiasm and precision. Your expertise in healthcare management, medical administrative support, and office leadership will drive the success of our practice and enhance patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize efficiency and service quality. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and expense control using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance on medical records management, medical terminology accuracy, and HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality and regulatory adherence. Coordinate with healthcare providers to support clinical workflows, including EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accurate documentation and data security. Handle human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment aligned with practice goals. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards, HIPAA guidelines, and managed care policies. Support clinic growth initiatives by implementing process improvements in medical management and practice management strategies. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within optometry or related clinics. Strong supervisory skills with previous experience managing administrative or clinical teams. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA regulations, and billing procedures. Demonstrated fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight. Experience with healthcare management practices in acute care settings or dental/medical clinics is highly desirable.
