is seeking qualified HVAC Technicians to support preventative maintenance, repair, and emergency response services for NOAA's National Data Buoy Center located at Stennis Space Center, MS.

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and CRAC systems Conduct inspections of mechanical and cooling equipment Replace filters and minor maintenance components Troubleshoot HVAC system issues Support generator and UPS system inspections Respond to emergency HVAC and power-related service calls Complete maintenance logs, inspection sheets, and service reports Coordinate repairs and corrective maintenance activities Maintain compliance with safety and federal site requirements

Qualifications:

MS State HVAC License Experience with commercial HVAC systems Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to respond to emergency service calls EPA Certification preferred Experience with data center or mission-critical environments preferred Ability to pass federal background screening requirements

Work Location:

National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) No Criminal History Secured Facility requires passage of Federal background check

Response Times:

This position supports a mission-critical federal data center environment. Technician must be able to respond on-site to Stennis Space Center, MS within three (3) hours for emergency HVAC or power-related service calls when assigned/on-call. Availability for occasional after-hours, emergency, and storm-readiness support is required. Technician must maintain reliable communication and transportation for emergency response situations.
