On-Site Safety Representative

Job Summary Mirason Safety is actively seeking qualified Safety Professionals who are familiar and comfortable with project based work for openings in the upstate New York area. Must understand case management and be computer savvy (Microsoft word and excel).

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered, all applicants must have at least: OSHA 30 in Construction and At least 2 years of professional safety experience in the field as a Safety Professional Any of the following certifications:

OSHA 500

(required)

NFPA 70 E

electrical safety (preferred) CPR, First Aid, and AED certification Must have a valid drivers license Eligible to work in the US, ability to undergo a background check with criminal history and drug test Physical stamina to stand or travel regularly This position may require travel Experience in the following construction areas is preferred: electrical, new construction, steel erection, power generation/transmission and civil work.

Full Time-Temporary (Project Specific) Responsibilities and Duties The On-Site Safety Representative will report directly to the Clients Safety Director. Will be responsible for visually inspecting the project at the beginning and end of each work day. Review, make corrections, sign and assist the crew with conducting the Clients daily job brief/tailboard meeting and excavation log. Required to be on the job site to observe work activities. Tasked with coordinating safety efforts with the Clients Field Foreman and Site Superintendent (e.g. traffic control, excavation safe working practices, etcetera). Responsible for addressing any observed safety infractions with the Clients Field Foreman and Site Superintendent. The On-Site Safety Representative has the authority to intervene and call an "all stop" if imminent danger conditions are perceived. At the end of each work day the On-Site Safety Representative will furnish a daily safety report detailing the progress of the work completed by the Client and their sub-contractors to the Clients Safety Director.

2 years Required license or certification: OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety (minimum)
