Description:
AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions The Onsite Staffing Consultant is responsible for managing high-volume staffing operations at a client's distribution center. This role serves as the primary liaison between the client and the staffing agency, ensuring the facility is fully staffed with qualified associates to meet daily production and shipping goals. The consultant oversees recruiting, onboarding, workforce management, and employee relations in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for client leadership, supervisors, and temporary associates
  • Recruit, screen, and hire warehouse associates
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and safety training for new hires
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including safety orientation and job-specific training
  • Monitor daily attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism; to meet production demands
  • Manage shift scheduling to meet fluctuating production and seasonal demands
  • Conduct routine floor walks to engage employees, monitor morale, and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Address employee relations issues, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Partner with client leadership to forecast staffing needs based on volume projections
  • Track and report key metrics such as headcount, turnover, productivity, and fill rates
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and coordinate payroll processes Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
  • 1-3+ years of experience in staffing, recruiting, HR, or warehouse operations
  • Experience in high-volume or light industrial staffing strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak seasons Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations (picking, packing, shipping, receiving)
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in distribution environments
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and make real-time staffing decisions Work Environment

  • Requires frequent walking on the warehouse floor and interaction with associates and supervisors
