Weekly Preventative Maintenance (PM)

Technician Schedule:

1 Day Per Week (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Hours:

4 Hours Weekly Position Summary The Weekly Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing scheduled safety, equipment, and facility inspections in accordance with the established PM checklist. This position ensures all systems are operational, compliant, and properly documented. The technician will complete inspections, identify deficiencies, document findings, and communicate any corrective actions needed. Key Responsibilities Weekly Inspections & Checks Perform and document inspections including, but not limited to: Emergency eye wash stations (plumbed and non-plumbed) Hazardous waste accumulation area inspections Sprinkler system valve checks Water filtration systems (rack and monthly systems) Electric hot water heater (rack only) Powered overhead door inspection Customer first impression walkthrough Custom impression areas Extinguisher inspections (ABC type) Documentation & Reporting Complete PM sheet accurately during each visit Mark pass/fail status for each item inspected Record deficiencies clearly and legibly Note parts needed (e.g., D-cell batteries or other replacement items) Submit corrective orders to store management when required Obtain manager signature upon completion Deficiency & Safety Follow-Up Identify maintenance or safety concerns Communicate issues to management immediately Ensure corrective actions are documented Verify updates (e.g., updated logos, safety stickers, or required postings if applicable) Work Schedule 1 day per week 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM All inspections must be completed within the 4-hour window Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to perform visual inspections and minor maintenance tasks Comfortable working independently Strong attention to detail Ability to lift light-to-moderate equipment as needed Clear handwriting and accurate documentation skills Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods Bending, kneeling, and light lifting Indoor work environment Must be able to carry and maneuver heavy A frame ladder This is a 1099 position with daily pay Pay starts at $120.00 per day but could be more based on skill/experience
