Onsite Diesel/Automotive Mechanic (Equipment Operation & Towing Included)

North Atlantic Distribution is looking for a full-time, skilled and dependable Diesel / Automotive Mechanic to work on-site at a commercial property. This is a hands-on, versatile role for someone who can handle mechanical repairs while also stepping into equipment operation and towing duties when needed. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, light-duty vehicles, heavy equipment/ small equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and other machinery as needed
• Assist with on-site towing and recovery operations
• Support snow removal operations during winter months
• Conduct routine inspections and keep maintenance records
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Respond to on-site mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime

Qualifications:

• Experience as a diesel and/or automotive mechanic (required)
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics
• Experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)
• Towing and recovery experience a strong plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions

Pay:

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
