Onsite Safety Technician

Great Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Onsite Safety Technician / Safety Specialist to join our team. This site-based role supports industrial and utility construction projects at client substation facilities in Lockport, Louisiana. The Safety Technician monitors and enforces jobsite safety performance, conducts audits, leads training, supports investigations, and ensures compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. The primary objective is to reduce operational, safety, and environmental risk while promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with clients core values. Duties Lead or assist in incident investigations Perform root cause analysis and submit reports Coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence Prior safety-focused experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Team-oriented with high professionalism High School Diploma required; some college preferred 3-5 years construction or occupational safety experience preferred 2+ years supervisory experience required OSHA 30 (Required/Preferred) OSHA 510/511, CSST/NCCER, or COSS (Preferred) This position is essential for maintaining a safe workplace environment while supporting operational excellence through effective safety management.
