Operating Room Circulator RN Safeguard Greenbrae, CA Job Details Full-time $70 - $80 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification RN License Professional ethics BLS Certification Regulatory compliance OR experience English ACLS Certification Perioperative care Aseptic technique Clinical confidentiality policies Surgical nursing expertise Full Job Description Job Summary A healthcare facility in Greenbrae, CA is seeking an experienced Operating Room Circulator RN to support surgical services in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment. This role is responsible for coordinating patient care throughout the perioperative process while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient surgical workflow. The ideal candidate is highly organized, clinically skilled, and comfortable working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team. Must-Have Requirements Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current CPR certification required Current ACLS certification required Must have operating room circulating experience Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written Must be able to work overtime or schedule changes based on surgical volume Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods and assisting with patient movement Must maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance standards Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience preferred Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience preferred Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and patient safety practices preferred Responsibilities Serve as the patient advocate throughout the surgical experience Coordinate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment Review patient charts, lab work, EKGs, and medical history prior to procedures Communicate patient concerns and surgical updates with anesthesia providers and surgical staff Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition Ensure availability of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist with inventory management and notify leadership of supply needs Accurately complete documentation, surgical logs, incident reports, and patient records Operate emergency equipment and respond appropriately during urgent situations Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, orientation, and continuing education programs Support regulatory compliance and infection prevention standards Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and mobility throughout the shift Ability to lift and move patients with assistance as appropriate Exposure to clinical environments including bodily fluids, radiation, and communicable diseases Ability to work in high-stress and fast-paced surgical settings Schedule Full-time Day shift Overtime may be required based on surgical schedule
Pay:
$70.00 - $80.00 per hour
