Job Description
Position Summary:
The Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting demand planning and master data management to drive accurate data governance, efficient supply chain execution, and optimal inventory performance. This role plays a key part in aligning demand signals with production and supply plans specializing in capital equipment, consumables, and service parts. Critical components of this position include the ownership and governance of master data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to enable effective MRP and operational decision-making. The role partners cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to improve build plan performance, support new product introductions, and maintain data consistency across systems.Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in production planning and execution to meet forecast and customer demand.Monitor KPIs such as:
Safety Stocks Operational Performance Backorder Levels Demand Accuracy Partner with manufacturing, procurement, and service teams to resolve supply constraints and shortages. Identify root causes of operational issues (e.g., BOM errors, shortages, forecast gaps) and drive corrective actions. Coordinate with buyers to track material availability and lead times. Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Maintain and govern master data in SAP S/4HANA, including: Material master (lead times, MRP type, lot size, safety stock) Bills of Material (BOMs) Routings / production versions Purchasing info records and source lists Audit and validate master data to prevent planning and execution errors. Troubleshoot system-driven issues caused by incorrect or incomplete master data. Other duties as needed or required.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment (medical device or regulated industry preferred). Strong ERP experience (preferablySAP S/4HANA
) with a solid understanding of master data structures, including BOMs, routings, and material master. Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling), along with experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools. Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity. Proven ability to drive data-driven decision-making, collaborate cross-functionally, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments is a plus. Experience in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and New Product Introductions (NPI) from a data governance perspective. Demonstrated ability to support demand planning, forecasting, and production planning/MRP processes.Similar remote jobs
