Responsibilities Operations and Safety Manager Responsibilities:
Safety Build, improve, facilitate, and execute the safety program along with related initiatives and inspections Champion the everyone goes home safe everyday culture Lead and engage all employees in safety improvement initiatives as identified Complete and file required documentation to our corporate safety office Prepare and lead safety meetings on site and corporate calls Write protocol for safety procedures, JSAs, PSIFs, SIF, etc. Lead safety investigations and ensure corrective actions are appropriate and sustainable Operations Oversee all department operations consistent with company policies and goals Drives continuous improvement and operational efficiencies Manages initiatives to reduce costs of operations, improve product quality, and exceed operational metrics Support execution of capital projects and plans Support the General Manager with other initiatives as requested Involved in the daily operations in the front end of the businessOperations and Safety Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, metallurgy, manufacturing, or equivalent level of experience At least 5 years of management in manufacturing At least 5 years of experience in a foundry and machine shop facility Strong business acumen Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching others Ability to multitask with frequent interruption Extreme attention to detail, with information and numbers Outstanding problem-solving skills Must be able to clearly communicate in English, verbally and written with professionalism Ability to develop employees and provide direct feedback on performance Ability to work overtime as needed Forklift experience, preferred Qualifications Joining Wieland's team gives you… Benefits- Starting on Day 1!
