Job Description

Job Summary Responsible for various back-office functions, reports, balancing of internal accounts and other duties as assigned. Complete various customer service maintenance requests. Follow Danville State Savings Bank policies to ensure ethical business practices. Primary Responsibilities Greet customers, both internal and external, via phone or in person. Represent the bank in a positive and professional manner. Well-organized, work independently, and able to prioritize. Able to work one on one with customers, both internal and external. Identify fraudulent activity to help prevent potential loss to customers and the bank. Ability to raise questions to management and adhere to policies. Display effective communication. Maintain current and well-developed working knowledge of the products, services, and procedures. Promote the bank and communities we serve by volunteering your time. Perform other duties or special projects, as assigned. Understand and perform operation procedures and tasks including but not limited to: Account Maintenance ACH Files, both incoming and outgoing Audits daily/weekly/monthly as assigned Answering the phone and helping/directing customers Banno administration/review Daily GL Balancing as assigned Daily reports/notices as assigned Fraud Disputes administration/processing Mail
  • both incoming and outgoing Non-post item processing Online Banking/Mobile Banking assistance Overdrafts and Return Item processing Processing Originator files Remote Deposit Capture administration/review/approval Shazam Access administration Statement Processing Stop Payment processing Various report reviews as assigned Wire Transfers Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit processing Working Environment Work is performed inside.
The work week consists of Monday through Friday.

  • 5:00p Friday Job Expectations Typical workday: 8 hours.
Typical work week:

Days worked:
Weekdays. Ability to provide sound judgement. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and written. Strong customer service skills, both internal and external customers Ability to manage various requests or inquiries. Education and Special Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-4 years' experience in a related position with customer service and bank operations responsibilities. Previous banking knowledge required.
