Operations Demand Planner Marlborough, MA | 100% Onsite
MUST HAVES
5-7+ years of demand planning or supply chain experience Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred Expertise in forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization Experience with ERP/planning systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Anaplan, etc.) Strong skills in data analysis, Excel, and statistical forecasting Experience participating in S&OP processes Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support production, purchasing, and overall supply chain efficiency. This role plays a critical part in balancing supply and demand while improving forecast accuracy and supporting business growth across both food service and retail channels. You will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, customer service, and plant operations to ensure alignment and drive informed decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts Analyze historical sales, seasonality, and market trends Collaborate with sales and marketing to adjust forecasts and support promotions/product launches Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and performance metrics Identify demand drivers, risks, and variability Lead or support S&OP planning activities Partner with supply planning and procurement to resolve supply and inventory issues Communicate forecast changes, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders Track and report on inventory risks, shortages, and excess/obsolete products Maintain and manage data within planning systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience with Kinaxis Maestro preferred Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive insights Proven ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities Strong teamwork and collaboration across departments
