Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production process, such as machine operators, fabricators, and general laborers. Follow work schedules, plan assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Confer with other supervisor to coordinate operations and activities between shifts. Read work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Interpret customer specifications, blueprints, job orders, and procedures for workers. Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. Enforce company policies and safety regulations. Execute employee performance evaluations and recommend actions such as promotion, demotion or personnel changes. Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems or complaints. Other duties as assigned. High School diploma required, some college preferred 3 years Leadership experience preferred Metals experience preferred Blueprint reading ability beneficial About us
