Job Description
The Operations Manager provides leadership support, direction, training, and goals for teller staff as advised by the Bank Manager. This role is responsible for both the administration and daily operations of the bank including products, service, operations, and security in accordance with the bank's policies, procedures, and business goals. The Operations Manager sets standards and creates accountability in the areas of service, products, compliance and bank policies and procedures. This position may perform in various capacities, such as Teller, or support the Bank Manager in fulfilling duties and acts as a liaison between Management and Tellers as appropriate. Role and Responsibilities Responsible for conducting various bank transactions for customers. Responsible for the overall productivity and efficiency of branch operations. Ensures regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures are upheld. Supports efforts that positively impacts the branch's profitability. Responsible for identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements and corrective actions. Assists in the hiring and training of new tellers. Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services. Responsible for conducting performance reviews, evaluations and verbal or written guidance as needed in partnership with the Branch Manager. Responsible for training to enable staff to meet bank initiatives. Responsible for completing various reports and analytics as requested. Responsible for ensuring satisfactory branch audit results in conjunction with the Bank's Management team. Responsible for managing employee schedules, employee time and work hours in accordance with bank policies. This role has supervisory responsibilities. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associates Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred. Cash handling experience preferred. 2 years of previous experience in the field preferred. Knowledge of laws and requirements pertaining to the banking industry. This job requires ongoing regulatory training. Preferred Skills/ Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent math skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Trustworthiness and ability to act with integrity and confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and delegate when appropriate. Complex problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership and management skills. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. or more. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Tools and Technology Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use sight, talk or hear, frequently stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. The employee may need to stand or sit for long periods of time.
