Description Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the installation, operation and training of new equipment for processing and packaging.
  • Maintains technical equipment in support of operations, such as coders, tape machines, labelers, etc.
  • Maintains technical data on information technology, processing equipment and the general plant programming through close coordination with internal maintenance staff and third-party contractors.
  • Handles company IT issues.
  • Operates processing and/or packaging equipment.
  • Conducts raw material, environmental, and finished product testing.
  • Participates in identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products.
  • Assists the VP with BOLs and shipping/receiving appointments in times of VP absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • The incumbent in this position will be positively encouraged and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
  • Incumbents are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
  • Supports audit functions as needed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines and policies. Responsible for compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists management with administrative tasks as needed.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a field related to the products being developed preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in related field required with food safety and quality experience in manufacturing.
