Job Description

At Columbia Chemical, providing quality additives for the metal finishing industry is our business. Since our beginning in 1975, we have specialized in developing high quality plating processes. Located in Brunswick, OH, Columbia Chemical is an 100% Employee-Owned Company (ESOP) with easy access to Interstate 71. Columbia Chemical is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We currently have the following opportunity for Chemical Blender . This position is responsible for the manufacturing, shipping, and receiving of both non-hazardous and hazardous products. It entails reading a formulation, following batch procedures, emptying into proper packaging, unloading trucks, recording transactions electronically, movement of products in and out of inventory, and shipping products in adherence with the appropriate regulatory agencies.
JOB DUTIES PERFORMED
Manufacture finished products with simple additions, low heat and few hazards with limited supervision. Empty tanks by filling drums, pails, or totes. Label, stencil and secure packaging closures according to specifications. Verify that all paperwork and documentation (batch tickets, product labels, daily logs, etc.) for all manufactured products are complete and accurate. Operate equipment including drum dolly, scales, pumps, stretch wrap machine, banding equipment, and tow motors. Properly handle and store raw materials, finished goods and packaging. Complete transactions in ERP system and perform inventory adjustments as needed. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years chemical blending experience Tow Motor and DOT Hazmat certified Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time Ability to lift 60 lbs.
