Optical Assistant

Mountain Eye Care is seeking an Optical Assistant to join our practice. The perfect candidate will have excellent customer service skills along with time management and dependability. We are seeking someone who is able to thrive in a fast paced environment and have the ability to multi-task. No experience needed, will train the right person.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to fit patients with glasses and make minor adjustments. Heat, shape or bend plastic or metal frames to adjust eyeglasses to fit patients using pliers and hands. Give recommendations as to style, color, and shape of frame to best fit the patient's face and required prescription. Process patient orders and purchases including visually verifying and ensuring all upgrades and special requests are processed. Using edger to cut lenses to fit the patient's chosen frame. Maintain quality by verifying finished lenses are ground to specifications. Maintain proper inventory levels, stock merchandise and set up product displays. Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing, data entry, and realistic delivery time quotes.
