Optical Assistant/ Optometric tech

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Optical Assistant/ Technician. As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our patients and assisting with various tasks in the optical department and exam rooms. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

Duties:

• Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and fitting adjustments
• Take accurate measurements for prescription eyewear
• Process orders for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products
• Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
• Provide support to the Doctor by checking visual acuities and other ancillary testing on patients
• Collaborate with optometrist to ensure seamless patient care
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare or retail setting preferred
• Knowledge of optical terminology is a plus but not required
