Optician

We are a growing full-scope optometry practice in Morris dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate eye care to patients of all ages. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking to add a full-time or part-time Optician to our team. We are seeking someone who is motivated, dependable, and enjoys working with people in a fast-paced office environment. Our practice prioritizes kindness, teamwork, and individualized patient care, and we are looking for someone who shares those values. Previous optical experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities Include:

• Verify and neutralize prescriptions using manual lensometry
• Assist patients with frame selection while creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience
• Help patients choose eyewear that best fits their face shape, lifestyle, and budget
• Educate patients about lens options in a clear and understandable way
• Dispense, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear
• Accurately enter orders into multiple ordering platforms
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders according to insurance benefits and discounts
• Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and compassion Part-time employment would average approximately 18 hours per week, while full-time employment would average approximately 34 hours per week.

Our office is open Saturday mornings. These shifts are shared among team members, so only occasional Saturday hours would be required. Compensation is dependent on experience.
