  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Optometric Doctor to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, diagnose and treat visual and ocular health issues, and enhance patients' quality of life through expert vision care. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive personalized, high-quality treatment in a welcoming environment. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and refractive errors Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, medications, or other treatments tailored to each patient's needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of eyewear or contact lenses Collaborate with optical staff to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions and assist with sales when necessary Perform vital signs assessments and utilize physiology knowledge to inform diagnoses and treatment plans Follow aseptic techniques during examinations to ensure patient safety and prevent infections Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices to deliver optimal care Skills Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy of the eye, and physiology relevant to vision health Experience with optical equipment, EMR/EHR systems, and medical records management Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service and effective communication Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately for documentation and diagnosis purposes Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Familiarity with medical coding for billing and insurance processing related to eye care services Experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) is a plus for providing specialized care to children Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
