Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician with a strong commitment to customer service, patient education, and preventative care . The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates effectively with patients, and is eager to expand their expertise in eye care across our two centers in Farmington, CT and West Hartford Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preliminary vision screenings and diagnostic tests (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, topography). Assist with patient workups, including obtaining medical history and documenting chief complaints. Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and preventative care strategies. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming and informative patient experience. Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic instruments and equipment. Assist in fitting and training patients on contact lens use and care. Collaborate with doctors and the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow. Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmic care and participate in ongoing training. Take patients through the entire experience from check in to check out.
Qualifications:
Interest in a patient facing role or e xperience as an Ophthalmic Technician. Strong customer service skills with a patient-first mindset. Passion for patient education and preventative eye care. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in EMR systems and basic ophthalmic terminology is preferred. Why Join Us?

Hours:
Full-Time. Monday-Friday with rotational Saturdays.
