Required Skills:
Valid and current Optometry license and certifications Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in optometry Strong clinical skills in general eye care and patient management Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures and diagnoses clearly Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team Spanish speaking proficiency highly preferred Nice to
Have Skills:
Bilingual abilities (Spanish-English) Experience working in an FQHC or similar community health setting Comfort with EMR systems and electronic health records Flexibility to work additional hours or at other locations as needed
Preferred Education and Experience:
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution Prior experience working in hospital or clinic settings
Other Requirements:
Candidates should be local or willing to manage their own travel expenses, as the client is not covering travel costs Credentialing process may take 60-90 days Current schedule is Wednesdays and Fridays, with potential for additional hours at other locations Willingness to provide care for a fluctuating patient volume, with one week of EMR training and shadowing included Eager to bring your skills to a community-focused healthcare environment?
