OR Registered Nurse

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Take on a dynamic nursing opportunity within a leading surgical environment as part of an advanced thoracic/vascular operating room team. This contract role emphasizes collaboration and high-level care in a Level 1 trauma center with a broad and complex patient population.

Schedule/Hours:

12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Shift days will vary based on unit needs; block scheduling is unavailable Includes late stays as required by case volume

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (must be on file upon submission) Current certification relevant to the OR setting (must be on file upon submission) Minimum of two years' experience in the operating room, specifically on thoracic/vascular teams Demonstrated proficiency circulating and scrubbing in endovascular and thoracic/vascular procedures Previous travel nursing experience required Experience working with adult patients only; peds cases are not included

Duties and Responsibilities:

Circulate and scrub for a diverse range of procedures, including transplant, trauma/neuro, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, ortho, ENT, plastics, GYN, urology, and robotic cases Participate in cases across 56 main OR suites and 5 procedural rooms in both inpatient and outpatient settings within the hospital Support a high-acuity patient population, including those undergoing transplant and trauma surgery Flexibly float across OR suites as needed based on surgical volume and staffing Maintain compliance with all hospital protocols and uphold the highest standards of patient care This is a fast-paced, engaging contract role essential to comprehensive surgical care in a major trauma and transplant center.
