Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic Operating Room environment as an RN, working side-by-side with a skilled surgical team in a robust facility offering comprehensive surgical services. With 19 state-of-the-art suites and over 1,000 cases each month, this role presents an exciting opportunity for experienced Operating Room nurses seeking a challenging assignment.
Schedule/Hours:
Shifts run from 10:45 am to 9:15 pm Rotating days off with both weekday and weekend call Weekend coverage approximately once per quarter (average call every 7th weekend) 30-minute call response time required Flexibility with rotating holidays alongside permanent staff
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in good standing 2-3 years of recent OR nursing expertise required
Certifications:
BLS and ACLS (current) Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred Comfortable within a fast-paced, high-census OR (55-60 cases per day) Ability to serve diverse surgical specialties (excluding major peds, no transplants, no c-sections in main OR) Scrubbing skills preferred, though not required Reliable attendance and strong adaptability Basic competency across surgical services CSTs must have current certification (if applicable) STRICT 75-mile radius requirement from home address to facility (per driver's license)
Key Responsibilities:
Circulate for a variety of surgical cases, ensuring best patient care and adhering to safety protocols Participate in call rotations and provide timely response per policy Collaborate with surgeons, CSTs, anesthesia, pharmacy, and RT teams Ensure accurate documentation and support compliance with Meditech EMR Engage in comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development
