Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled registered nurse with strong experience on thoracic/vascular surgical teams, you will play a pivotal role in an advanced operating room environment within a major Level 1 trauma facility. This is a contract opportunity, focused on delivering expert perioperative care for adult patients undergoing highly specialized procedures.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (schedule varies weekly; block scheduling not available) Assigned late stays may be required based on unit needs

What We're Looking For:

Active RN license for Tennessee or compact state—must be on file at submission Minimum 2 years of operating room RN experience, specifically with thoracic/vascular cases Direct prior experience as a travel RN Proficient in circulating and scrubbing for endovascular and complex cases; scrub experience required Valid certifications with documentation on file Thoracic/vascular surgical expertise required for all candidates

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care as part of the thoracic/vascular team in both inpatient and outpatient operating suites Circulate and scrub for a wide variety of complex adult procedures, including trauma, neuro, general, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, robotic, and more Care for adult patients (no pediatric cases) with diverse diagnoses including transplant and trauma/neuro Float between operating rooms within the facility as needed (no floating to other sites) Support the interdisciplinary surgical teams in a fast-paced 56-bed OR with 5 additional procedural rooms If you have a passion for high-acuity surgical care and the expertise to deliver in a dynamic trauma setting, your skills are needed.
