Oral Surgery Assistant

Middlesex Oral Surgery is a state of the art oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in the heart of Middlesex county. We have enjoyed wonderful growth over the last several years and we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care to the patients we see. Dr. Goulston practices the full scope of oral surgery, but he focuses on dental extractions, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting techniques, oral pathology,, and maxillofacial trauma.

Job Position:

The ideal oral surgery assistant candidate is professional, organized, enthusiastic, friendly, reliable, and prides himself/herself on attention to detail. Our team is incredibly busy and would benefit from another team member who shares our compassion and wants to grow with us. Our success is based on our high level of patient care, and the right person will help us continue this high standard.

Requirements:

New Jersey X-ray certification At least 1 year dental assisting experience is preferred Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, materials, etc. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments under proper infection control standards Assist the surgeon in surgical procedures. Assist the surgeon in anesthetic administration Prepare and set up operatories prior to surgery, and break down/clean operatories after procedures Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures Provide post operative instructions to patients Schedule follow up appointments Monitor supplies, implants, medications, etc. and maintain a well-stocked office Field telephone calls from patients
