We perform a high volume of surgical procedures and IV sedation, and we are seeking a reliable, experienced Surgical Assistant to join our growing team. This is a part-time or full-time position in a two-doctor oral surgery office with a fast-paced surgical schedule. X-ray and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam/surgical rooms and ensure all the instruments and equipment are sterile and properly set up
• Assist surgeons during in-office surgical and minor procedures
• Monitor and support patient comfort and safety during procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow all infection control protocols
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures.
• Document procedures accurately in patient EMR
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and pre/post operative instructions
• Prepare and label specimens for lab processing
• Educate patients on post-operative care and follow-up instructions
• Collaborate with the front office for scheduling and patient flow as needed
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and office protocols

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a dental/surgical assistant
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical protocols
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate, professional demeanor with a strong attention to detail
• EMR proficiency a plus

Pay:

From $28.00 per hour

License/Certification:

X-Ray and CPR/BLS certification (Required)
