Job Description
Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator (PT) We are looking to add a part-time Treatment Coordinator position to our established orthodontic office in northern NJ. The primary responsibilities of a Treatment Coordinator are to take initial records, spend time with patients seeking orthodontic care, answer questions related to planned treatment and explain corresponding fees. We seek a responsible person to ensure that patients leave well-informed, with all their questions answered about treatment, fees and related insurance coverage. This is an ideal position for someone looking to transition out of orthodontic or dental assisting. The PT position may also include some light front desk duties like answering phones and scheduling, when needed only. Salary commensurate with experience. Looking for approx 15-18 hours per week within the following windows: Mondays 11am-7:30pm, Tuesdays 1-6pm & Thursdays 9am-5:30pm Specific responsibilities include: Presenting orthodontic treatment plans and giving estimates of treatment costs in an effective manner Educating and discussing with the patient the orthodontist's treatment plan after diagnosed and reviewed by the doctor Obtaining high treatment acceptance by explaining cost of treatment, insurance coverage, and finance options Ensure patient feels welcomed and comfortable throughout the patient's initial exposure to our practice Prefer - but not required - a candidate with experience taking orthodontic records such as x-rays, photos, digital scans Prime candidates must have, or be willing to learn, the following: Understand and have the ability to effectively communicate techniques utilized in the orthodontic field The ability to explain the available financial payment options, including the role of insurance Customer service or sales experience, along with dental knowledge preferred The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and must possess mastery of the English language.
