05/06/2026 Join Our Team as an Orthopedic Surgeon - Arthroplasty in Mather, California VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in Arthroplasty to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our nation's Veterans. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, well-resourced environment within the greater Sacramento region.Position Highlights:
Focus on primary and revision arthroplasty, with opportunities to support general orthopedic procedures Dedicated OR block time supported by experienced anesthesia and surgical staff Access to advanced imaging, multidisciplinary teams, and on-site specialty services Opportunity for academic involvement with regional partners (if desired) Balanced schedule with protected administrative timeResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients requiring joint replacement care Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic services including total joint procedures Participate in call coverage and interdisciplinary team meetings Maintain compliance with VHA policies, documentation standards, and quality measures Engage in teaching, committee work, or process improvement initiatives as appropriateQualifications:
MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Arthroplasty (strongly preferred) Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory U.S. citizenship (required)Benefits & Incentives:
