Job Description

Description Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Northern Virginia providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, and public works and infrastructure has an immediate need for a Inspection Technician in support of our McDonald, PA location. Duties include but are not limited to : Perform and document annual comprehensive inspections. Perform and document monthly inspections. Perform and document load tests. Perform dielectric testing on insulated aerial equipment. Communicate with customers directly to schedule their inspection(s).
Position Core Competencies:
Organizational skills. Strong computer skills. Mechanical aptitude related to cranes and other types of construction equipment. Professional in appearance and attitude. Knowledge of proper use of basic hands tools. Have, or be willing to learn, basic operational skills. High degree of attention to detail Dependability Good writing skills. Good communication skills. Requirements The best fit for this role will have: High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Read, interpret, and apply various industry regulations and standards. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Most work will be performed outside, in varying weather and site conditions. Moderate to loud noise levels. Work requires a combination of standing, walking, climbing, and using hands to handle or feel. Occasional crawling, kneeling, or crouching as necessary. Use of basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Occasional lifting of 30-50 pounds. Most work will be performed in the field at customer locations and jobsites, which requires driving on a daily basis within a three-hour radius of our McDonald, PA office.
