This role involves primarily dock-to-dock freight transport, focusing on Midwest and East Coast routes with no loads heading west. Miles are calculated from dock to dock for pay purposes. MUST HAVE RECENT OTR DRIVING EXPERIENCE

) Responsibilities Safely operate a 26FT box truck on OTR routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch regarding progress or issues Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, including handling specialized freight such as refrigerated or flatbed loads Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and DOT regulations during every trip Skills Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, or dump trucks Valid license with clean driving record Experience with route driving across long distances (OTR) preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles efficiently Knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and proper securing techniques Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tanker operations, or roll-off trucks is a plus Ability to operate forklifts or dump trucks is advantageous Strong navigation skills and route planning abilities Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatch and customers Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections as needed This position offers an engaging opportunity for experienced drivers seeking consistent OTR work in a professional environment focused on safety and reliability.
