About the Role Alchemy is powering the future of 340B pharmacy, starting with in-house pharmacies for covered entities. We provide the entire physical, clinical, and digital infrastructure needed to operate and grow best-in-class 340B programs. As a pharmacy technician for one of our partner clinics (Maple City Health Care Center), you will be a key member on the Alchemy pharmacy team, while engaging with patients and clinicians at the site in Goshen, IN. This clinic's mission is to provide community-based, full-service health care of the highest quality with respect and dignity for all people including the underserved and uninsured. We are looking for a candidate to serve as a pharmacy technician at this 340B pharmacy with full-time, 40hrs per week. The schedule is Monday thru Friday, no weekends or Holidays, and the pharmacy is open 8:30am-5:30pm. This role will include carrying out the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, coordinating prescription delivery, and resolving insurance claim rejections. The ideal candidate will also help process prior authorizations, pursue patient assistance programs, and foundational assistance programs to assure all patients receive affordable care. The ideal candidate will also develop trusting relationships with patients and adapt to the patient's unique needs in order to remove barriers to care. In this role, your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): Entering new prescription orders and refill requests for patients. Filling and labeling medications. Facilitating delivery of medications to patients as needed. Processing insurance claims and resolve insurance claim rejections. Receiving and processing prior authorization requests as needed for patients. Ordering inventory from drug wholesalers. Maintaining pharmacy records as required by the board of pharmacy and other regulatory bodies. Building strong working relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to meet all required needs of the clinic as well as the community Following-up with patients via phone calls or text messages to facilitate prescription filling and adherence. Communicating in a manner that protects patient privacy. Advocating for patients and provide patient-centric pharmacy services. Minimum Qualifications Active Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy No record of previous record of a conviction of a crime in connection with controlled substances No previous surrendering or having a controlled licensed surrendered at any time Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience working within a retail or clinic setting Prior experience working in a 340B pharmacy would be great but not required Previous experience working with BestRx system Bilingual in Spanish Our Founding Principles As Founders, Alchemy is the culmination of everything we have worked on and dedicated ourselves to throughout our careers, and its mission is woven into the fabric of our lives and why we do what we do.
