Job Description

My client, a regional healthcare system in central Tennessee is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Oncology to join its outpatient cancer center team. This role is focused almost entirely in the ambulatory oncology/infusion center setting, working alongside physicians and nurses to support chemotherapy management, evaluate medication therapies, and optimize treatment for cancer patients. The pharmacist will also participate in multidisciplinary care, contribute to clinical initiatives, and help precept pharmacy students and residents. This is a full-time Monday-Friday position (8:00am-4:30pm) with no weekends, offering strong clinical involvement and excellent work-life balance. Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and be able to obtain an active Tennessee pharmacist license prior to starting, with post-graduate oncology pharmacy experience required. PGY2 Oncology Residency training and/or BCOP certification are preferred, though pharmacists with meaningful oncology practice experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting cancer treatment protocols in an outpatient oncology or infusion center environment and be comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary clinical team. This opportunity is located in a scenic central Tennessee community about an hour from a major metro area, offering a low cost of living, no state income tax, great schools, and abundant outdoor recreation. The hospital is a 247-bed regional referral center and teaching facility with accredited pharmacy residency programs.
