Job Description

Outpatient Therapist | Full-Time |
Watseka, IL Qualifications:
Master's Degree in psychology, social work or related field. License preferred but not required at time of hire.

Supervisor:
Weekly supervision is provided by either the Clinical Director or a Clinical Supervisor with LCSW or LCPC.
Positions Supervised:
None Responsibilities:
Maintain a caseload that supports 65% of time spent on billable services and 35% of time on non-billable activities each week. Completion of all required documentation in a timely manner. Progress notes are to be completed by end of calendar week and mental health assessments are to be completed within two weeks. Treatment plans and all other required paperwork are to be updated on a regular and timely basis, according to their review due dates. Monitor caseload due dates of treatment plans and mental health assessments and complete timely to assure compliance of treatment. Provide effective treatment to children, adolescents, adults through play therapy, individual therapy, couples therapy, and/or group therapy by: Ensuring the implementation of the individual treatment plan. Ensuring the client is oriented to his/her services. Promoting the participation of the client on an ongoing basis in discussions of plans, goals, and status. Identifying and addressing gaps in service provision. Sharing information on how to access community resources relevant to his/her needs. Advocating for the person served. Communicating information regarding the progress of the person served to the appropriate team members. Facilitating the transition process, including arrangement for follow-up services. Involving the family or guardian. Coordinating services provided outside of the organization. Identifying the process for after-hours contact Present cases during clinical case consultation meetings. Staff clients on psychotropic medications with the psychiatrists and coordinate treatment with the IMHC nurse. Coordinate treatment with other IMHC programs and/or other outside agencies such as Probation Departments. Provide mental health consultation/training/workshops to other agencies as needed. Assist in the development of the Substance Abuse Program and Outpatient Therapy Program through improved skills or specific program development and growth. Regular participation in psychiatric staffing, team meetings, clinical meetings and all agency meetings. Provide walk-in crisis and phone-in services as needed Participate in IMHC and community committees if assigned. Complete all necessary paperwork for approval by insurance panels for client billing and see EAP clients as scheduled. Participate in agency grants and contracts as needed. Complete other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Program need, client need, crisis coverage, and location are taken into consideration when establishing a work schedule. Schedules include evening or Saturday hours depending on location.
