Job Description

Outside Sales Representative, Entry QXO is the fastest growing publicly traded distributor of building products in North America. The company is executing its strategy to become the tech-enabled leader in the $800 billion building products distribution industry and generate outsized value for its shareholders. QXO expects to achieve its target of $50 billion in annual revenues within the next decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth. What you'll do: Drive new business growth by prospecting, identifying, and pursuing new customer opportunities within the assigned territory. Sell exterior building products, including roofing, siding, windows, and waterproofing materials, to contractors, builders, and commercial customers. Meet or exceed assigned sales and margin targets through disciplined prospecting and opportunity management. Build and cultivate relationships with prospective customers, influencers, and vendors to expand market presence and sales pipeline. Conduct in-person sales calls, jobsite visits, and customer meetings to understand customer needs and position solutions. Partner closely with branch operations, supply chain, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers. Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activity, leads, and opportunities in Salesforce or other CRM tools. Proactively research market conditions, competitors, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities. Coordinate effective handoffs of newly secured accounts to Account Executives for ongoing management and retention. Continuously develop product knowledge, technical understanding, and sales skills through training and field experience. Travel extensively within the assigned market to meet customers and pursue new business opportunities. What you'll bring: 1-3 years of outside sales, field sales, or business development experience, with a focus on prospecting and new customer acquisition. Prior experience in construction, building materials, wholesale distribution, or a related industry strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to generate new leads, build relationships, and close new business. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, changing environment. High comfort level using technology, including CRM systems, mobile devices, and digital sales tools. Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with internal teams. Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and comfort with frequent local travel.
Working Conditions:
Field-based role with frequent travel throughout the assigned territory. Regular in-person customer visits, jobsite meetings, and prospecting activities. Limited time spent in company offices; majority of work performed in the field.
