Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Over the Road Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and embark on exciting long-haul journeys across the country! In this energetic role, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries to various destinations. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks—including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers—will be essential in maintaining our high standards of service. Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, across designated routes to deliver freight promptly. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure handling of freight. Drive different types of trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on shipment requirements. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and freight delivery details in accordance with federal regulations. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adapting to traffic conditions and road closures. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or other loading tools when required. Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo handling. Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and maintaining accurate documentation. Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle freight loading tasks as needed.
