Overhead Crane Operator Location:
Hockley, TX, US Job Type:
Full-Time Compensation:
$17.00 - $23.00Hourly What You'll Do Operate & Move:
Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, transport, and precisely position heavy materials and large loads across the manufacturing floor.Inspect & Maintain:
Perform daily pre-shift inspections on cranes and related equipment, promptly reporting any maintenance needs to ensure safe functioning.Machine Set-Up:
Assist production teams with the alignment, set-up, and installation of machinery components using cranes and heavy equipment.Cross-Train & Support:
Utilize secondary equipment like pallet jacks, plasma cutters, hydraulic presses, and shears to support material preparation and handling.Coordinate:
Work closely with forklift operators, floor leads, and other material handlers to optimize workflow and maintain a highly safe environment.What You Bring Experience:
Proven track record operating overhead cranes and forklifts in a fast-paced industrial or heavy manufacturing setting.Certifications:
Valid forklift license and explicit certification to operate overhead cranes. Additional heavy equipment or safety certs are a plus!Technical Knowledge:
Strong ability to read and interpret load charts, work orders, and strict safety instructions. Secondary Skills (Preferred): Familiarity with machine set-up procedures and experience operating plasma cutters, hydraulic presses, or shears.Communication:
Strong communication skills to seamlessly collaborate with your team and supervisors. Work Environment & Physical Demands Physical capability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and actively maneuvering around heavy equipment. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Strict adherence to all safety regulations, best practices, and PPE requirements.Compensation / Pay
