Full-time 5 Days per week; typical shifts between 6:00am-6:00pm (variable), occasional evenings/ weekends as production demands Role Summary The Packaging and Warehouse Assistant is an entry-level production role responsible for assisting the Packaging Team in day-to-day operation of the canning line, filling kegs, and operating the keg washer. The Packaging and Warehouse Assistant is also responsible Packaging and Warehouse Assistantfor assisting with changeovers, performing in-process quality checks (including basic seam teardown and package verification), and palletizing finished product. The Packaging and Warehouse Assistant is also responsible for assisting the Warehouse Coordinator with delivering product to our Westbrook and Freeport taprooms in the box truck (up to 40% of weekly hours will be spent making deliveries). Key Responsibilities Packaging Line Operation Assistance Coordinate with Packaging Operators to assist with daily startup, packaging runs, and end-of-day/week shutdown. Assist with packaging line changeovers (SKUs, formats, tray/PakTech, date codes) Own pack-out flow, pallet patterns, case labeling accuracy, and finished product counts. Troubleshooting & Basic Maintenance Assist Packaging Operators with immediate and preventative maintenance of packaging equipment. Quality Control Conduct and document in-process checks at prescribed frequencies: fill weight/height, tank pressure as applicable, code legibility/accuracy, can/label integrity. Perform basic double-seam evaluations with micrometer/countersink gauge and seam tear-downs; interpret against spec and take corrective action. Partner with QA on package oxygen/CO₂ checks and sensory/hold releases; quarantine/hold suspect product per SOP. Materials & Inventory Coordination Communicate low stock and defects to Packaging Manager/Purchasing. Data & Continuous Improvement Complete digital production logs (cases/hour, stops, scrap, rework, changeover timing) Recommend process improvements and corrective actions; assist with training documentation. Warehouse Assistance Coordinate with Warehouse Coordinator to make weekly product deliveries to Westbrook and Freeport taprooms. Assist Warehouse Coordinator with packing orders when needed. Understanding of FIFO product rotation. Safely and efficiently deliver and stage product in both taprooms. Safety & Compliance Practice proper PPE usage, CO₂ awareness, chemical handling, and machine-guarding standards. Follow GMPs and sanitation SOPs; ensure clean hand-offs between shifts. Safely drive box truck and safely and efficiently deliver and stage product in Westbrook and Freeport taprooms Minimum Qualifications Clean driving record. Experience driving a box truck. Ability to pass a DOT physical 1-3+ years of relevant packaging experience in brewing/food/beverage manufacturing (or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience). Demonstrated proficiency on multiple line stations and with routine changeovers. Basic understanding of seamer/filler operation and adjustment; able to use micrometers and countersink gauges. Comfortable with digital production systems (logs, work orders, inventory usage). Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Preferred Qualifications Experience with dissolved oxygen meters and CO₂/pressure measurement devices (e.g., CBox/ Zahm). Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting familiarity. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Regular lifting 35-55 lbs; occasional up to 165 lbs with assistance. Wet/cold/hot/noisy environments; PPE required. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range (Packaging/Warehouse Assistant:
