Job Description

Packaging Engineer needed to support consumer goods packaging commercialization, new product launches, package qualifications, and component specification development. Job Requirements BS degree in Package Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or related field 5-10+ years of packaging engineering experience Consumer goods packaging experience Packaging commercialization experience Experience supporting new product launches Experience with primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging development Experience coordinating and completing qualifications for new package designs and materials Experience developing packaging component specifications Working knowledge of packaging materials and converting methods Preferred Skills Experience with corrugated containers Experience with folding cartons or solid fiberboard Experience with plastic bottles Experience with flexible packaging Experience with thermoformed packaging Experience with injection molding Experience commercializing packaging from concept through production Experience working with packaging suppliers, manufacturing teams, or product development teams Job Responsibilities Develop packaging for consumer goods products from primary through tertiary packaging Support packaging commercialization for new product launches Coordinate qualification activities for new package designs and packaging materials Complete testing and documentation required for packaging qualifications Develop component specifications for packaging materials and formats Evaluate packaging materials, converting methods, and design options Support packaging design changes through commercialization and production implementation Work with suppliers and internal teams to support packaging development, testing, and launch readiness Review packaging performance against product, cost, manufacturing, and quality requirements Support documentation and implementation of approved packaging specifications
Pay:
