PM, M-F Job Brief:

A Material Handler works in a support role in the factory. They are utilized to maximize material flow through the facility which can vary from day to day. A Material Handler-Packaging employee ensures that finished goods are packaged in accordance with customer specifications and the material meets company quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Pack, weigh, and label completed skids for shipment or storage within the warehouse Alert line operators to potential issues with material being produced Maintain a neat and organized raw material storage area Use metal banding equipment, along with shrink wrap to secure metal sheets for shipment Identify defective or problem material before it is packaged and prepped for shipment to customer Rework and sort material HFI material as needed Follow workplace safety standards Other duties as specified by management

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred Must have stamina to stand for long periods of time while packaging, processes and preparing material for shipment Must have a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach Must be able to read and understand measurement devices such as a tape measure and calipers Must be responsible and trustworthy Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as, bending, squatting, standing while lifting objects up to 40 pounds Must be able to read and understand work instructions / quality procedures Must be able to tolerate strong smelling solvents
