Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Advance your nursing expertise caring for patients in a dynamic Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment. Healthcare professionals with PACU experience are sought to support a collaborative surgical recovery team and deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted RN license Proven experience in PACU or peri-anesthesia care Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients' post-operative status in accordance with PACU standard protocols Administer medications, treatments, and pain management interventions as prescribed Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patients' condition, providing timely and appropriate interventions Educate patients and families on postoperative care, answering questions and providing reassurance Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and other interdisciplinary team members for seamless patient transitions and continuity of care Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, documenting all care provided and communications Comply with infection control, safety, and clinical practice guidelines at all times This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your recovery care experience and make a significant impact on patient safety and comfort during the crucial post-surgical phase.
